Meeting National Standards and Strategy Seal Meeting National Standards and Strategy What's this?

Overview

This unit, Work Legally and Ethically, provides an exploration of the Australian legal system and ethical frameworks, aimed at enhancing your understanding and application of legal and ethical principles in a professional setting. You'll start by delving into the structure and operation of the Australian legal system, understanding different types of law and their implications on various work roles. This foundation will enable you to confidently navigate and apply key workplace policies and legislation.

As you progress, the unit will guide you through the intricacies of working ethically, addressing privacy, confidentiality, and ethical decision-making. You'll engage with modules that foster your ability to manage ethical dilemmas, understand the overlap between legal obligations and ethical responsibilities, and participate in continuous improvement practices within your organisation. By the end of this unit, you'll possess a firm understanding of both the legal and ethical landscapes and be equipped with practical skills to uphold integrity and make informed decisions in your professional life.

These modules have been designed with consideration to the performance criteria outlined in training package - CHCLEG001 - Work Legally and Ethically
