Volunteering Australia Privacy Policy 

Volunteering Australia (VA) acknowledges its legal obligations regarding the handling of personal information and will ensure that all such information is held in a secure environment. This Privacy Policy applies to all platforms and tools operated by VA, including the Volunteering Gateway.

This Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction with the Terms of Use for the Volunteering Australia website and the Volunteering Gateway. By using our website and the Volunteering Gateway, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use. Information VA Collects 

VA collects the following information: 

  • Personal details: Name, Email address, Location (State or Territory), Organisation (including specific information collected through the Volunteering Gateway) 

  • Unidentified details of your visits to our website and the resources that you access, including but not limited to traffic data, location data, and other communication data. 

  • Information provided by filling in forms on our website, such as when you sign up for our e-news subscription or register for the Volunteering Gateway. 

  • Information provided to us when you communicate with us for any reason, such as information received through the Volunteering Australia Shop or Volunteering Gateway. 

Use of Your Information 

The information that VA collects and stores relating to you is primarily used to enable us to provide you with information, updates, and news regarding our work or that of the sector. In addition, VA may use the information for the following purposes:

  • To send you promotional materials, newsletters, and updates about our products and services (you may opt out of receiving these communications at any time).
