BeConnected Program

Meeting National Standards and Strategy Seal Meeting National Standards and Strategy What's this?

Introduction

Be Connected is a fantastic Australian government program designed to help build people's confidence, digital skills and knowledge of online safety.

Summary

• Access a wide range of online materials that cover everything from using a computer to social media and common software used in volunteer organisations. Your volunteers can learn at their own pace from the comfort of their home.

• Find a free computer class near your volunteers, run by friendly community organisations. Help them get hands-on experience with technology and connect with others on their digital learning journey.

Benefits to volunteer management practitioners

You can help your volunteers to:

• Discover the many ways technology can enrich their lives, from staying safe online to using computers and devices for a range of volunteering functions.

• Help older or less technologically proficient volunteers to feel empowered using technology and explore new possibilities in the digital world.
